Coaching Policy

CHS Netball Club aims to provide a suitable level of coaching for each of our teams. We aim to provide confident, enthusiastic & competent Coaches and offer any assistance that they may require.

We encourage our Coaches to develop their coaching skills and provide information, from time to time, regarding available courses and resources.

We require our Coaches to encourage fair play and good sportsmanship within our playing group.

All Coaches are expected to adhere to the Netball NSW Code of Behaviour Policy.

The following applies to all Coaches. (d), (e), (f) & (h) apply mostly to teams aged 7yrs to 14yrs: –

(a) Coaches can be provided with Coaching materials, on request.

(b) Coaches may be provided with training/game day equipment and must ensure this is returned at the end of the season, upon request.

(c) Coaches will be provided with a team list & contact details, at the beginning of each season.

(d) Coaches must ensure they keep accurate records of their allocated team for each round.

(e) Coaches must record actual court time for each player & training attendance.

(f) The above records (c) & (d) must be available, on request, by any Committee member.

(g) Coaches must ensure that each player is treated fairly and with respect. (refer NetballNSW Policy)

(h) Coaches are eligible to coach a core team of 5 team members for no more than 3 consecutive years, at the discretion of the Club Committee.

The CHS Netball Club Committee has the final decision on the allocation of Coaches for all junior teams, NetSetGo to 15yrs, each appointment will be assessed by the panel on a case by case basis. The CHS Netball Club Grading Committee, (President, Jnr Registrar, Coaching Coordinator), has the final decision on team selection & any required team changes.
